Not even a week after the Las Vegas tragedy, Nancy Pelosi was approached by a concerned citizen about the right to self-defense and Pelosi’s answer is just what you imagined it would be. It fell flat and made no sense whatsoever.
“How does rendering me defenseless protect anybody else from a violent crime?” the young woman asked.
The Minority Leader responded with a quip claiming, “No one is advocating that. We’re not talking about taking guns away from people. What we’re talking about is to make sure that people who have guns register and that there are background checks to prevent other people from being in harm’s way.”
Well, we have that. Today as Pat filled in for Glenn, he broke down some of the gun laws already in place and agonized over the fact that Democrats continue to call for stricter gun laws despite the fact that it’ll do nothing but make it more difficult for law-abiding citizens to obtain a gun.
