Dogs saved now in Lancaster County

A group of dogs scheduled for slaughter in South Korea are now in Lancaster County. The dogs were rescued from a meat farm and are now being cared for in East Cocalico Township near Adamstown. Mia, Sophia, and Eva are part of a group of about 170 dogs rescued from ten farms by the Humane Society of the United States. Mia and Eva are adapting well, while Sophia is still very skittish according to rescue officials. Four more dogs will arrive at the shelter Sunday. The plan is to eventually adopt the dogs out to caring families.
